What's the best way to hide unusual, strong odors similar to the that of fingernail polish remover or cat urine; large amounts of products such as cold medicines, antifreeze, drain cleaner, lantern fuel, coffee filters, gas cans, hotplates, rubber tubing, propane cylinders, cheesecloth, batteries, duct tape, clear glass beakers and other pyrex, unmarked containers and ice chests; chlorinated solvents, hazardous agents, and other toxic byproducts; and a residence with windows blacked out and lots of nighttime traffic? A T-Shirt company!

Methamphetamine is closely related chemically to amphetamine, but the central nervous system effects of methamphetamine are greater. Both drugs have some limited therapeutic uses, primarily in the treatment of obesity.

Methamphetamine is made in illegal laboratories and has a high potential for abuse and addiction. Street methamphetamine is referred to by many names, such as "speed," "meth," and "chalk." Methamphetamine hydrochloride, clear chunky crystals resembling ice, which can be inhaled by smoking, is referred to as "ice," "crystal," "glass," and "tina."

Methamphetamine releases high levels of the neurotransmitter dopamine, which stimulates brain cells, enhancing mood and body movement. It also appears to have a neurotoxic effect, damaging brain cells that contain dopamine and serotonin, another neurotransmitter.

Meth trafficking and production are different than other drugs because they are dangerous from start to finish and involve a vast amount of chemicals and equipment.
